Marketplace: O-Ring Type

Below is a reference guide to help you select the appropriate O-ring when the same item number with different O-ring types are available.

Please note that in many cases, more than one design type or item number can be suitable for a selected application. If only one design type or item number is found, then that is the best solution for your application as long as your application meets verified assumptions.

Item number ending in -O:

NBR/FKM – Suitable for temperatures between -26°F (-3°C) to 250°F (121°C)

Item number ending in -5:

FKM – Suitable for temperatures between -26°F (-3°C) to 400°F (204°C)

If the only difference between item numbers is different O-ring codes, make your selection based on temperature requirements. If both fit your requirement, either item will work.
